 | The Mercedes-Benz Unimog thaws up properly with ice and snow and provides you with everything you need for snow clearing and gritting. The latest technology and clever ideas make sure of that. The best example: the heat-insulated composite fibre panoramic cab. Here you can work comfortably in even the hardest winter thanks to its programmable auxiliary heating as well as seat and windscreen heating. Its deep-drawn side windows combined with a large rear window provide an outstanding view of all working areas. Even at temperatures going as low as 30 below zero, it stays cosy in the Unimog with a heated air-dryer, engine block pre-heating and stronger generator – all supplied ex factory.
Add to that its permanent all-wheel drive, differential locks in front and rear axles, disc brakes on all four wheels, anti-lock braking system and – should it be necessary – snow chains for each wheel. This means that you have superb traction and complete control on icy surfaces. Snow clearing is easy with its synchromesh quick-change forwards and reversing system EQR with pre-selector. The Unimog winter package is rounded off by three more highlights: the front PTO for snow blower and snow thrower with up to 150 kW operating power, up to 3 metres clearing width and automatic gritters with a bin volume of up to 4.4 m³ for long clearing routes.
